Akani Simbine signs with Avanti Communications
Avanti are proud to announce a three-year sponsorship deal with the current Commonwealth 100m champion Akani Simbine, the fastest man in South African history.
Both the 25-year-old sprinter and Avanti have a share passion to empower and inspire the youth across the whole of Africa, helping to better the future for all.
Having just won the 100m race at the London Diamond League on 20th July, Akani will now be on the quest for more success in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Since signing a sponsorship deal with Avanti, Akani will now be working full time with his coach Werner Prinsloo, which will be advantageous to him leading up to the 2020 Olympic Games.
A recent blistering win at the London Diamond League on the 20th July saw Akani take first place and he now has his sights firmly set on the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. The new sponsorship deal with Avanti will enable Akani to train time with his coach Werner Prinsloo, focusing on his speed, agility and determination to win gold.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Akani said: “This is an exciting time for me and, with Avanti’s support, I can now be even more focused on my 2020 gold medal ambition. Like me, Avanti wants to make a positive impact across Africa and inspire people to reach their full potential. I’m excited to see what we can achieve together”.
Our CEO Kyle Whitehill added:
With his success on the track and his desire to spread positivity and optimism, Akani is exactly the sort of ambassador Avanti wants to work with. This is Avanti’s first-ever professional sponsorship deal and it comes in a really significant year for the company as we build on new and existing projects across the continent that empower people to be more.”
Akani Simbine perfectly represents and embodies the values of Avanti to ‘Be More’ through high levels of ambition, dedication and resilience.
