Avanti has partnered with Q-KON to provide LEO satellite connectivity to customers across the country
LONDON, 13TH MAY 2024: Avanti Communications (“Avanti”), the global multi-orbit satellite technology provider, today announces the launch of Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity services in South Africa.
Avanti has partnered with Q-KON, a leading satellite engineering enterprise for southern Africa, to deliver seamless LEO connectivity from Eutelsat OneWeb. The new deal is set to improve business operations nationwide in what is a unique and challenging connectivity environment.
Avanti and Q-KON are delivering on the increased demand for LEO connectivity within the region. The deal significantly bolsters Avanti’s multi-orbit solution and means the company can now offer a combination of LEO and GEO services effective immediately.
With its customer-centric strategy, Avanti is now perfectly placed to identify and deliver the best and most effective solutions for enterprise customers in need of more choice, flexibility and resilience.

Avanti already has a strong, on-the-ground presence in South Africa with state-of-the-art infrastructure in Johannesburg. More than a fifth of the company’s workforce operates in Africa, emphasising Avanti’s commitment to building a strong presence in the region. Avanti’s ambition is to make Africa its primary revenue source within the next two to three years.
