We are looking for a Spacecraft Controller to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting the safe operations of our fleet of geostationary communications satellites. If you’re passionate about space and technology, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Monitor and control Avanti’s satellite fleet 24/7
- Carry out satellite commanding using approved procedures
- Supervise automated flight operations
- Maintain spacecraft health and status, providing reports to satellite engineers
- Perform routine system maintenance and backup tasks
- Support operational testing for new satellite deployments
- Work with a dynamic team to ensure seamless satellite operations
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 Essential:
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach
- Ability to follow processes and procedures
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
🔹 Desirable:
- Degree (or equivalent) in a STEM discipline
- Background in space, radar, or ground communication systems
- Understanding of satellite operations and control systems
- Experience in flight control, mission operations, or telecoms
- Understanding of radio frequency communication principles
